From setting up your profile to rewarding your first regulars — this guide walks you through the Lekka platform, step by step.

Step 1

Account & profile setup

Your business profile is how customers find and recognise you in the Lekka network. A complete profile goes a long way.

Sign up

Head to lekkacard.co.za/vendor/signup and fill in your business details. Verify your email address to activate your account.

Complete your profile

Go to Settings and fill in your business description, contact info, and social media links. Add your primary location — this is how customers discover you.

Add your branding

Upload a logo and cover image, then choose a brand colour for your digital loyalty cards. This gives customers a familiar, branded experience every time they stamp.

Save your changes

Hit save and you're good to go. A complete profile is key to attracting new customers through the Lekka Explore page.

Step 2

Creating your loyalty programme

A programme is the set of rules for your loyalty card — for example, "buy 9 coffees, get the 10th free." You can run multiple programmes depending on your plan.

Go to Programmes

Click the Programmes tab in your dashboard navigation bar.

Click "Add Programme"

Hit the button to open the programme builder. You'll fill in a handful of details — it takes less than two minutes.

Define the reward

Set a Programme Name (e.g. "Caffeine Club"), the Reward Name customers see when they complete the card (e.g. "Free Regular Coffee"), the number of stamps required, and whether customers can redeem unlimited times or just once.

Set status to Active and save

Your programme is now live. New customers who scan your QR code will be able to join and start earning stamps immediately.

Step 3

Onboarding & rewarding customers

Lekka is built to be fast and flexible. There are three ways to get customers onto your programme and give them stamps.

QR Codes

Ready-to-print codes from your QR Codes page. Place them at your counter — customers scan with their phone camera. Three types to choose from (see below).

Recommended

WhatsApp Invite

Send a personalised sign-up link directly to a customer's WhatsApp. Great for regulars you already know. The pre-filled message does all the talking for you.

Personal touch

Stamp Station

Use the Stamp Station on your dashboard to manually give a stamp — either by entering the customer's ID or scanning the QR code on their phone with your camera.

Counter display

Join & Stamp (All-in-One)

The universal code. New customers sign up and get their first stamp in one scan. Existing members just get a stamp. It handles everything — use this at your till.

Growing your base

Flyers & social media

Invite to Join

Lets new customers join your programme without receiving a stamp. Ideal for marketing materials and social posts where you want to grow your member base.

Known members

Existing members only

Scan for Stamp

Only gives a stamp to existing members. New users are prompted to join first. Use this when you're confident everyone scanning is already signed up.

Click "Print Poster" on the QR Codes page to get a ready-to-display printout for your counter.

Step 4

Managing promotions, customers & settings

Once your programme is running, your dashboard gives you everything you need to stay on top of it.

Promotions

Create and broadcast special, limited-time offers to all your loyalty members to drive foot traffic. Find this in the Promotions tab.

Customers

View all your members, see their stamp progress, and export your data to a CSV file for other marketing efforts. Find this in the Customers tab.

Redemptions

Track every reward claimed in the Recent Redemptions section of your Dashboard. Customers self-redeem by tapping "Claim My Reward" and showing you the screen.

Settings

Update your business profile, location, brand colours, and contact details at any time from the Settings page. Changes take effect immediately.

Which QR code should I put on my counter?

Use the Join & Stamp (All-in-One) code. It's the most versatile — it handles new sign-ups and stamps for returning customers in a single scan.

Does a returning customer have to scan every visit?

Yes — customers scan your code to check in and collect their stamp. The process takes less than 3 seconds and their stamp total updates instantly on their card.

Can I run more than one loyalty programme?

Yes! Depending on your plan, you can run multiple programmes simultaneously — for example, one for coffee and one for pastries. When a customer scans your QR code, they can choose which card to stamp.

What happens when a customer earns a reward?

The customer's phone shows a "Reward Ready!" screen. They tap Claim My Reward and show you the screen at the till. You don't need to take any action — the redemption is logged automatically.

How do I know if someone is eligible for a reward right now?

When you give a stamp via the Stamp Station, the system will immediately alert you if that stamp unlocked a reward. You can also see Pending Rewards in your customer list at any time.
